Hospitals still need blood to save lives during the pandemic! And blood drives have been deemed an essential need. Accordingly, our previously scheduled blood drive will be held in Fellowship Hall on Thursday, May 7.
Special precautions will be taken to keep everyone as safe as possible. There will be a maximum of 40 total donors, spread evenly by appointment over the time period, so only a few donors will be in the building at any one time. Donors will be directed to enter the church building via the south entrance only (near E. Glen Avenue) and go directly down to Fellowship Hall, so the rest of the building will not be affected. All donors and Blood Center staff will wear masks. Social distancing will be practiced (all donors 6 feet or more apart), there will be handwashing and a pre-screening prior to entering the donation site (temperature check and questions), and there will be extra sanitizing throughout the whole process.
