Interested in learning more about C.S. Lewis and John Wesley? Want to see what inspired them?
Or do you just want to go on a vacation with a nice group of people?
There are lots of good reasons to join us as we travel to Belfast Ireland and Oxford and London, England to experience the life of C.S. Lewis, disciple and renowned Christian writer of the 20th century; and John Wesley, the co-founder of Methodism in the 1700’s. Lewis is best known for his fictional work, especially The Screw Tape Letters, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Space Trilogy, and for his non-fiction Christian apologetics, such as Mere Christianity, Miracles, and The Problem of Pain. Wesley is best known for his work to lay the foundation of the Methodist Church. Wesley traveled widely preaching over 40,000 sermons, was an avid writer and testament to the faith.
Highlights of the Lewis tour include his family home and church, visit the Giant’s Causeway coast where some of his inspiration for Narnia comes, a walking tour of Oxford with lunch at the pub where C.S. met with other writers, The Kilns Garden where he enjoyed his solitude and Headington Church, where he is buried.
Highlights of the Wesley tour include Wesley’s Chapel, which has a thriving congregation with regular services, as well as the Museum of Methodism and his tomb. Also, we will have a visit to the Leysian Mission and John Wesley’s house, as well as an opportunity to see a wooden Calvinist meeting house, Finsbury Square, which was an outdoor preaching place, John Wesley’s conversion place memorial and other cathedrals and churches.
